June 25, 2020
Lakeside Club Members:
Lakeside will be modifying club lap swimming and water walking procedures effective the week of June 29th. These modifications come in accordance with updated guidelines released by Kentucky State Department of Public Health and the Office of the Governor.
New Swimming Pool Guidelines – Effective July 3, 2020
Effective Friday, July 3rd – 2 swimmers will be allowed per lane in 6 of the 25 yard lanes.
-
The 6 x 25 yard lanes used for one hour reservations (Lanes 1-6) will now be open for two swimmers to a lane
-
Swimmers will start from opposing ends (6 on bulkhead and 6 on deep end)
-
Circle swimming will not be allowed at this time.
-
Swimmers will swim sides
-
Swimmers starting from the bulkhead will always stay on the side of the lane closest to the basketball court and Thompson building
-
Swimmers starting from the deep end will stay on the side of the lane closest to the Lake
-
-
Swimmers are only to stop on the end of the pool they started from.
-
This is to maintain social distancing while heads are above the water.
-
If a swimmer must stop on the opposite end of the pool, they must leave from the wall as their lane mate is coming into the wall, unless physically unable to do so.
-
The 30 minute lanes (Lanes 7-8) will remain as one swimmer per lane
The 20 yard lanes may have two per lane if they are from the same household, otherwise only one person per lane will be allowed. If you are booking for two members of the same household, only one member will reserve the lane. The second member will sign a waiver upon entry.
Chairs will be available in front of the Thompson Building for use after exiting the pool. Please refrain from loitering in this area.
Members will be allowed to enter the club 5 minutes before their swim time to go to the basketball courts to prepare for their swim. This extra time in the club is to facilitate members getting checked in and reporting to their lanes in a timely manner, not to wander the facility.
Chairs will be labeled by lane and which end of the pool to start from.
Low Impact Fitness Classes
Low Impact Classes will resume beginning the week of June 29. Preregistration is REQUIRED.
