Level 1 – Beginner
This curriculum teaches adults to swim, feel safe in the water, and enjoy the aquatic environment. With a student to instructor ratio of 3:1, this intimate group class is for adults with limited to no prior swimming instruction or those who have a fear of water. All students will begin with basic instruction and goal setting. Instructors will then meet students where they are to reach their goals with personalized instruction. Program graduates will feel confident in their swimming abilities for fitness and recreation at Lakeside. All beginner classes are held in the instructional pool.
Level 2 – Stroke Refinement & Beyond
This is the second level of the program, designed to further develop skills learned in Level 1. Class 1 includes further stroke refinement, lap swimming skills, workout design, and more. Classes 2 and 3 include a unique opportunity for students to apply their new skills while exploring the Lake. Program graduates will learn advanced swimming techniques for fitness and recreation to be used throughout the club.
Courses will be taught by certified instructors William Kolb and Amy Benton, assisted as needed by volunteer instructors.
$50.00. Participants must be Lakeside Members.
